Go leads CMO in capturing IBP-Inday Sara cage title

CHRISTOPHER "Bong" Go sparked the City Mayor's Office (CMO) to an 87-77 win over Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Davao to bag the crown in the IBP-Inday Sara Basketball Tournament at the Hall of Justice covered court.
Go, executive assistant to Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, drilled in 26 points to lead CMO clinch its second win against one loss in the best-of-three titular series.

IBP Davao was up three points in the first canto but the CMO five rallied to grab the lead 52-46 at halftime.
Both squads engaged into a series of lead exchanges at the start of the third quarter. But Go's team put up a solid defense to limit IBP Davao's attacks on the basket in the final minutes, unleashing its own weapons to secure the title.
The basketball tournament, sanctioned by Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP) regional director Regino "Boy" Cua, was organized in preparation for the upcoming IBP Mindanao Palaro.

CMO 87 - Go 26, Alquizar 19, Gadiano 15, Palban 12, Ordonez 9, Acojedo 2, Labor 2, Revera 2.
IBP 77 - Dioso 19, Ongkingco 16, Carpio 13, Dayanghirang 8, Al-Ag 7, Rañon 6, Ceniza 4, Dela Victoria 4.
