1 more soldier killed in Maguindanao clash
ONE Army soldier was killed when elements from the Army's 601st Brigade clashed with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Mamasapano, Maguindanao Tuesday morning.
Major Randolph Cabangbang, spokesman of the Eastern Mindanao Command, said the encounter happened around 9 a.m. at Barangays Diate and Muslim in Mamasapano town.

Cabangbang said the MILF rebels, whom they identified to be belonging to the "lawless group", battled it out with soldiers of the 64th and 68th Infantry Battalions in Barangay Diate while another rebel group encountered the 46th IB in Barangay Muslim.
The soldier's name has been withheld as relatives were still to be notified.
