75 local, foreign agencies to join jobs fair
FORTY-ONE local employers and 34 overseas agencies will be offering jobs to qualified applicants for three days, starting Thursday at the Davao Convention and Trade Center as one of the highlights of the 10th year staging of the Davao Trade Expo (Date) 2008, the biggest event organized by the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) this year.
In a list of agencies furnished by the DCCCII, telecommunication companies, call centers, restaurants, malls, and car companies are just among the local employers who will be joining the job fair.

The local companies would include 3TR Global Link Contact Solutions, Aimstaff Inc., Alladin House of Lamps, Automation and Security Inc., Banoks, Bayantel Communications, BF Industries, Callbox, Concentrix, Cybercity, Davao Merchant Marine Academy, DC Invest, eTelecare, Gaisano Mall of Davao, Gaisano South Citimall, Gentrade International Phils., Goldilocks, Green Farm Development Corporation, HLC Construction & Development Corporation, Jairo Solutions, and the JIB eAcademy Solutions.
Other companies that will be posting job vacancies are the Lapanday Group of Companies, Motortrade Nationwide Corporation, MTC Academy, NCCC Corporation, Neo Professionals Corporation, Nike Athletic Club Sports Company, Orchard Properties Marketing Corp., Phoenix Petroleum, Pilipinas Makro, San Miguel Brewery Inc., Semirara Mining Corp., Six Eleven Global Services, SM, Surecruit, Sureway Promotions, Sutherland, Synergy Active Transcription Services, Techno Trade Resources, Toyota, and the Uraya Land Development Inc.
Meanwhile, the overseas agencies who will also be joining the job fair include Al Khaleej International Services, Al-Alamia International Manpower, CAA Manpower Corp., Careplus International Services, EEI Corp., France Asia Corp., GBMLT Manpower, Globus Ag Manpower, Gods Will International Placement, Gulf Horizon International Services, Icarius International Placement, International Job Recruitment Agency, JEJ International Manpower, La Suerte International Manpower, LRC Manpower Services International, and the Magsaysay Maritime Corporation.
Also joining the event are Mercan Canada Employment, MHHR Manpower Recruitment, Mirben International Manpower, MMML Manpower, N'R'S Placement Agency, Nawras manpower SErvices, Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corp., Noor International Personnel Services, On Line Corp., Philiquest International Agency, Primeworld International, Reliable Recruitment Corp., Sara International Manpower Services, Welcome International Agency, Worldquest International Manpower Services, YHMB International Manpower, Yobhel International Manpower Services, and the Zontar Manpower Services.
The jobs fair will be conducted in coordination with the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) 11 and ABS-CBN local TV network.
Earlier, Ofelia Domingo, assistant regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) 11, said they are targeting about 10,000 vacancies to be filled by qualified applicants. (JGRS)
