BARANGAY Leon Garcia thrashed Barangay Lapu-Lapu, 101-76, to emerge champion in the 4th Duterte Basketball League (DBL) Agdao District Inter-Barangay Finals held at the Tomas Monteverde covered court Tuesday.
Leon Garcia was the latest qualifier to the upcoming Inter-District Finals that will pit all district champions of the league presented by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and Vice-Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.
Agdao Proper, meanwhile, routed Tomas Monteverde, 92-67, to place third in the cagefest sanctioned by Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP) regional director Regino "Boy" Cua.
Paquibato champion Pañalum, Talomo champion Barangay Bucana, Poblacion A champion Barangay 5-A, and Poblacion B champion Barangay 21-C also booked tickets to the inter-district finals that stakes P40,000 to the champion. The next three placers will also receive cash prizes and trophies. (MLSA)
