"We hope we could repeat what we did in Siargao last year. We finished the four-day, three-night adventure race in just three days and two nights," Ouano said.
Ouano said this year's Carerra, which is the country's toughest adventure competition, will cover some 400 kilometers. He said they expect more trekking and running activities since the nearest island is quite far from the mainland.
"I 'm confident with our team, although we have new members this time. What's important is that we go along well together and that we share the same attitude," Ouano said.
Esparar, a former amateur boxer, shared that his is no easy job.
"I need to prepare the team's equipment for every station. Everything needs to be ready including food and other necessities," Esparar said.
Ouano said they are still 80 percent ready as far as logistics is concerned.
"I hope there will be positive results from those we have asked help from," he said.
Ouano cited Sunkist-RFM, Holiday Gym & Spa, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and City Tourism Office for extending support to the team.
Completing the team roster are chemical engineer Jeffer Jatico and HGS instructor Cheryl Araneta, navigator Kieth James Argones and support crew Marjun Balaite.
