Tiger Woods Dubai at Dubailand
By Imee Garcia

BOB, a 70-year-old, extremely wealthy widower, shows up at the country club with a breathtakingly beautiful and very sexy 25-year-old blonde. She hangs onto Bob's arm and listens intently to his every word.

His buddies at the club are all aghast. At the very first chance, they corner him and ask, "Bob, how did you get the trophy girlfriend?" Bob replies, "Girlfriend? She's my wife!" They're amazed, but continue to ask, "So, how did you persuade her to marry you?" "I lied about my age", Bob replied. "What, did you tell her you were only 50?" Bob smiles and says, "No, I told her I was 90."

This is just mean. This joke makes men think that women are just after their money. But I have to say though, this joke made me laugh. So, are women just after money? Of course not! Speaking of money, I recently read a story about a foreign guy who sought help from the police at the Sta. Ana police station.

Apparently, he met a girl online who eventually became his girlfriend. He came to Davao to meet with her, but she never showed up. He even sent her money in the amount of P97,000.00 last May when she asked for it.

Would you like to know what her supposed name is--"Apple Montecarlo." When I read the girl's name, ummm...poor guy. Let me ask you this, who among you thinks that this is a real name?

Let's talk about Golf. What is DUBAILAND? Here are facts about Dubailand that I got off the net.

"DUBAILAND is a member of Tatweer and the world's most ambitious tourism, leisure and entertainment project, designed to catalyze the position of Dubai as an international hub of family tourism.

It is estimated to cost AED 235 billion. DUBAILAND will have a minimum of 55 hotels within its geographical location. DUBAILAND projects a population of 2.5 million people, which includes tourists, workers and residents, once fully operational.

DUBAILAND has 7 themes: Theme parks (including Six Flags Dubailand, Universal Studios Dubailand, and Dreamworks Dubailand), culture & art, science & planetariums, well-being & health, shopping & retail, resorts & hotels, and sports & sports academies including Dubai Golf City.

Dubai Golf City will house five themed signature courses, a golf academy, a six-star resort hotel & spa, golf communities, golf villages and retail souls."

Aside from Dubai Golf City, in the same compound will soon rise Tiger Woods Dubai. This is the first golf course that Tiger Woods will design.

How much they are going to pay Tiger, we don't know, but the project is estimated to cost $1.1 billion dollars. Reporters are guessing that his fee is in the range of $20 million dollars. Will we ever get to play there? Sorry, I doubt it. Dream on.

Haha! It has been told that there will only be 200 golf memberships with priority going to residents of the community. Almost 200 mansions, villas, and palaces will border the entire golf course.

It is an 18-hole par 72 golf course with a golf academy and a driving range. It will have a 139,000 square foot clubhouse and a luxury spa. It is scheduled to open in the final quarter of 2009. The boutique hotel and a gated community will be finished by 2010. It has been said that actor Brad Pitt is helping with the design of the luxurious boutique hotel.

Notice: Please take note that the Special General Membership meeting of the stockholders of Apo Golf Club will be on November 30 at 10 a.m. at the Apo Golf Clubhouse. Apo Golf's Durian tee is on November 13-16, 2008.
