Monday, November 03, 2008 Mati police hunting down official's assassin
THE Mati police are keeping things under wraps in their investigation on the murder of city chief security officer Herminio Bagay, as their manhunt operation against the suspects is ongoing.
Chief Inspector Candido Suralta, in a text message to Sun.Star Sunday, said they are still conducting follow-up operations on the case and that divulging any information may affect their police operations.
All Suralta could admit is that they have already identified the assailant(s) and said the case would be solved soon.
Bagay was shot by a lone gunman inside his residence in Mati around 8:30 a.m. of October 29. The victim succumbed to two gunshot wounds.
Bagay, 61, was a retired police chief of Mati. (BOT)
