Former Metro Davao Table Tennis Association (Medatta) president Friendee Nuņez, who appeared at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn Thursday, cited players from Piedad Elementary School and Balite Elementary School as top contenders in the five categories entered.

"They will field participants in the boys and girls singles, boys and girls doubles and mixed doubles events for 12 years old and under players. We still welcome participants as long as they are born in 1996 onwards," Nuņez said.

Nuņez said that table paddlers from S.I.R. Elementary School, Lapu-Lapu Elementary School, Ateneo de Davao University, Polocon Elementary School, Doņa Pilar Marfori Elementary School, Wireless Elementary School, Rizal Sped Learning Center, and Cagayan de Oro City are also expected to compete.

He said gold, silver and bronze medals, courtesy of the Philippine Sports Commission, await the top three winners. All participants will each get a free shirt. MLSA
