KSA will hire 2T Pinoy-Muslim nurses
THERE'S good news amid fears of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at having to pack up and go home unemployed, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is reportedly looking for more than 2,000 Filipino-Muslim nurses.
But the deadline is coming up and non-Arabic-speaking nursing graduates will just have to kiss the opportunity goodbye.

During Wednesday's Ugnayan sa Mandaya forum at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Carolina Agdamag, officer-in-charge of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)-Southern Mindanao, said that at least 2,000 Muslim nurses are needed for immediate deployment to the Middle Eastern country.
"The deadline is November 15, and they must be knowledgeable on the Arabic language," Agdamag said.
The POEA official said there will be no placement fees required as it is a government-to-government transaction.
"No experience is needed, but the applicants must not be younger than 22 years old and older than 45 years of age," Agdamag said.
0f the 2,000 nurses, 500 are to be specialized nurses who are capable of handling the intensive care units, delivery rooms, and other areas that need specialized attention. The other 1,500 nurses are for the general services, like handling the wards. (CPM)
