AN OFFICER of the National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (Nerbac) of the regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in Davao City is seen to take a banner year in 2009.
Edwin Banquerigo, chief of the investment promotion division of the DTI-Nerbac in Southern Mindanao, said in an interview that ICT-related industry will continue to grow next year, claiming that a number of inquiries from BPO companies have been received by DTI-Nerbac for possible expansion in the city.
