Guv lauds SP for being 'finest' working body
By Neil C. Rio

GOVERNOR George Arnaiz paid tribute to the Negros Oriental Provincial Board, calling it the "finest" working body during his incumbency.

Governor Arnaiz gave the acknowledgment at the opening of his State of the Province Address Thursday afternoon at the Dumaguete City Council session hall before an audience of provincial officials and employees and representatives from different private and public groups.

"The Sangguniang Panlalawigan is the finest that I have had the privilege to work with," the governor said," It has passed the highest number of resolutions and ordinances ever in the history of our local government."

Individually, the governor said, the members of the SP exerted every effort to address the needs and concerns of their constituents and that collectively, they demonstrated that working together as one could make a "lasting impact on the general public".

He said the SP approved the requests from his office for the common good with objectivity and political maturity.

"I am pleased and proud to be working with them," Arnaiz said.

Likewise, the governor expressed his gratefulness to Vice Governor Jose Baldado for the drafting of the Executive-Legislative Agenda that is expected to work with multi-sector groups next month.
