Guinit denies role in city hold-ups

DUMAGUETE City's most wanted man, Rayboy Guinit, denied he was behind the series of robberies that took place in the city the past few months, but admitted he was behind the slay-robbery of a Valencia businessman in Barangay Candau-ay last March.

A former classmate of Guinit at Foundation University who declined to be identified relayed the information to members of the media last week.

The said classmate said he met Guinit in Barangay Junob last April 1 during which the suspect confessed killing Francisco Tesio but denied committing all the hold-ups that happened in the city.

He said Guinit had cited the case of the security guard of St. Paul College who was arrested later for robbing one student.

Meanwhile Mayor Agustin Perdices believed Guinit is still in Dumageute.

Mayor Perdices has offered P200,000 worth of projects for the barangay as reward for any of its official who could trace the hideout and lead to the arrest of the city's most wanted man. VLC
