12-yr-old's mutilated body found By Victor L. Camion
SIATON, Negros Oriental -- Police in this municipality are continuing investigations into the gruesome killing of a 12-year-old boy whose mutilated and decomposing body was found in a wooded area in Maloh village ten days after he was last seen on Christmas night.
Police identified the murdered boy as Dominador Buco of Maloh, Siaton.
A police report reaching the provincial command said the murdered boy's body was already in an advanced state of decomposition when it was discovered by a 65-year-old wood-gatherer about a kilometer from the national highway.
Cipriana Malapanas told police she was collecting firewood when she smelled foul odor coming from the area.
On inspection, she discovered the decomposing body of the victim. The neck was nearly severed, the skull almost split, the body covered with hacks, and his genitals slashed off.
Police investigators believe the boy was murdered in the area.
The police said that the boy was last seen inside the village auditorium during the Christmas night celebration there.
