Siglos wins chess tourney

TOP seed and Visayas-Wide Open Chess Champion Rudell Siglos shone again and knocked out 20 other combatants in the King of the Board 1V Open Inter School Open Chess Tournament last September 12 at Negros Club 64 headquarters.

Siglos scored a 5-point. perfect score in the 5-round Swiss System. Tournament.

Gamaliel Gonzales and D. Anito landed second and third place respectively.

In the elementary level, a 10-year old student of Silliman University Elementary School shocked other young chess aspirants and was declared champion in the King of the Board 1V Inter Elementary Open Chess Tournament at Negros Club 64.

Gens Puracan scored a 7-point perfect score in the 7 single round robin, proving himself the best among his six school mates and another bet from Foundation University Elementary School.

Kim Trumata of Silliman University landed second place.
