Prominent man wanted for 'rape' By Neil C. Rio
POLICE have arrested an alleged female pimp believed to be responsible for the rape complaint filed by a 16-year old girl from Occidental Mindoro by a prominent Dumaguete City resident on the dawn of Feb. 3 in Barangay Talay.
The victim (name withheld), currently residing with the Abella family in Villasuerte Subdivision, Barangay 8, Dumaguete City, identified the suspect as Honorio Sayre, a prominent person residing in Upper Talay.
She alleged that before the incident she was in the house of the grandmother of her friend Liezl Torillo a day before.
That evening, her friend's mother Evangeline Abella, the latter's husband Andres Catada , and Liezl's boyfriend whose name was not mentioned invited her to go to Sayre's house.
The minor said that at first she was hesitant but later gave in after her friend assured she would also be there.
In Sayre's house, she alleged, the suspect forced her to sniff shabu and then sexually abused her.
The victim said Sayre gave Evageline Abella and Catada an undetermined amount of money before they left the house.
The police report did not say whether Liezl was in Sayre's house during the alleged incident.
Following the filing of the complaint before the City Prosecutors' Office, police proceeded to arrest the suspects, but nabbed only Evangeline.
Sayre and Catada remain at-large.
