COUPLES for Christ (CFC) will expand its Gawad Kalinga Housing project to Bais City starting this month, coming right after its series of similar projects in Dumaguete City and Talalak in Sta. Catalina.
CFC provincial area coordinator Raymund Mercado said after Bais City the project will be implemented in identified GK sites in the towns of Ayungon and Mabinay and The city of Tanjay.
Mercado said the project is a joint venture between CFC, the private sector, and local government units.
The CFC leader said the religious-based organization will expand the program because of help pouring in from private donors.
Negros Oriental hosts five GK sites in Dumaguete City (3), Bayawan City (1), and Sitio Kakha, Talalak in Sta. Catalina (1).
CFC, he said, targets to build 700,000 houses in 7,000 locations within seven years.
