Dumaguete starts septage management project

DUMAGUETE City became the first local government unit in the Philippines Monday to build and operate a septage management system and wastewater treatment facility.

Mayor Agustin Perdices led officials and the community in the groundbreaking ceremony of the facility in Barangay Camanjac.

The project is part of the city's program to improve and preserve the environment.

"This is a milestone in the city's development," Mayor Perdices said.
