Businessman to open Cable TV
CANLAON CITY -- People in this upland city of Negros Oriental will soon have immediate access to local, national and international information, entertainment, and news updates once the plan of a businessman to open a cable television facility prospers.
Local businessman Eduardo Garcia is now awaiting and expecting an approval from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) for him to install, operate and maintain the television facility.
The NTC has conducted the mandatory hearing for the application and Garcia is awaiting the commissions.
The businessman intends to name the venture Canlaon Cable TV and plans to open a network all over the country.
The Canlaon City Council has endorsed the application.
Garcia said the proposed cable television will benefit the viewing public considering that they will be provided easy access to various educational, sports, news data and information, quality entertainment, livelihood, socio-cultural, community, religious, and other wholesome programs through the cable system.
