2 Dumaguete schools cited By Edmund Sestoso
THE Knowledge Channel Foundation, Incorporated named two elementary schools in Dumaguete City as winners in the national search for Knowledge Channel Outstanding Model School for school year 2004-2005.
The two schools are North City Elementary School and Calindagan Elementary School.
The two schools received plaques of recognition, colored television sets, and additional cable outlets during the awarding ceremonies on June 11 at the Meralco Lighthouse in Pasig City.
Present during the ceremony were Dumaguete City Schools Division Superintendent Carmelita Dulangon, Dr. Chruchita Villarin, principal of North City Elementary School, and Dr. Abrahalina Gajunera, principal of Calindagan Elementary School.
Also with them were Rosalie Lariosa, coordinator of the school's ETV, and Department of Education Regional Director Carolino Mordeno,
The other awardees of the outstanding model schools were Acasia Elementary School of Malabon City, Mandaluyong Elementary School of Mandaluyong City, Pardo Elementary School of Cebu City, and Vilo Elementary School of Cotabato City.
The Dumaguete City Schools Division also received an award as Knowledge Channel Model Division with 100-percent utilization of schools sponsored by the foundation.
