Capitol starts P26-M bridge projects By Maricar Aranas
AFTER several months of delay, the Provincial Government has started the project to build three steel bridges under the President's Bridge Program.
Capitol appropriated P7 million as its counterpart to the three projects that cost P19.5 million.
The projects, that are now ongoing after the delivery of construction materials from Iloilo, are the Camanjac-Calabnugan bridge and Tinago-Calindagan bridge both in Dumaguete City and the Amio bridge in the town of Santa Catalina.
The projects are Canadian and Austrian governments-funded and supervised by the Department of the Interior and Local Governments.
Capitol appropriated a counterpart of P2 million to the President's Bridge Program funding of P5 million for the Camanjac-Calabnugan bridge, another P2 million to the bridge program's P3 million for the Tinago-Calindagan bridge, and P3 million of the P7.5 million Amio bridge.
