GOVERNOR George Arnaiz and Provincial Board Member Mariant Escaño-Villegas dubbed the province's Yagyag festival presentation at the World Expo 2005 in Nagoya, Japan successful.
Both officials who accompanied the delegation that represented the Philippine festival contingent said the presentation drew the most applause from the spectators.
Arnaiz said visitors were awed by the uniqueness and originality of the Sibulan festival particularly the dances of the children.
The world exposition, participated by different countries, is held every five years. The next venue will be Beijing, China in 2010.
Villegas said yagyag drew standing ovation from the crowd particularly during the sixth phase of the presentation when the audience had swelled.
She added that after the presentation, visitors vied with each other to have their photographs and souvenirs taken with the group.
