Rotary club holds medical mission in Sibulan By Edmund Sestoso
THE Rotary Club of Dumaguete East would hold a medical mission in Sibulan town Sunday.
Lawyer Raymund Mercado, Rotary Club Dumaguete East president, said the event is part of the club's series of activities that include dental and legal assistance.
The activity starts at 9:00 in the morning near the Sibulan pier with over one hundred patients expected to attend.
Meanwhile, he said the club oriented Rotary Governor Len Magno of its civic-oriented projects during her visit to the city last October 27.
The projects included the re-inauguration of the joint Rotary-Dumaguete City government public faucet at Rizal Boulevard.
While in the city, the club officials toured Governor Magno to Holy Child Hospital, which is a recipient of the club's donated apheresis machine.
The expensive machine was made possible through a matching grant with the Rotary Foundation.
From the hospital, the entourage went to the old Meiyan Restaurant in Calindagan, which the club will convert as Uypitching-Rotary Children Museum.
