Negros Oriental has new agri officer By Victor L. Camion
THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Oriental has a new Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (Paro) in the person of Grace B. Fua.
Former Paro Stephen Leonidas turned over his responsibilities to Fua in a simple ceremony at Plaza Maria Suites Inn on May 10.
"She never asked for this assignment," DAR regional director Datu Yusoph B. Mama said.
Mama said Special Order No. 317 signed by DAR Secretary Datu Yasser Pangandaman, appointed Fua as OIC Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer II for Negros Oriental.
Fua, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), was cum laude at the Colegio de San Jose Recoletos for Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Accounting, in 1981.
She finished Bachelor of Laws in 1986 at the University of San Carlos and Master in Public Administration from Siquijor State College in March 2004.
The OIC Paro is taking up a doctorate degree in public administration at Negros Oriental State University.
Fua was chief agrarian reform program officer of the DAR office in Caipilan, Siquijor in 1994 and designated Negros Oriental OIC Paro II on March 27, 2003.
Leonidas served the province for more almost four years.
