By Rey Morados

BAYAWAN CITY -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) here joined the rest of the country and the world in observing the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking starting last June 26.

Officer-in-charge PNP station Inspector Alex D. Tizon said the observance is part of the command's campaign to make the people aware of the threat posed by illegal drugs on the community.

The theme of this year's observance is "Batang Pinoy Laban sa Droga."

Tizon said the Philippine version is based on the international anti-drug abuse campaign theme, "Drugs are not Child's Play."
