INCUMBENT Negros Club 64 President Teodoro Nacar Jr. will be holding a battle of mind showdown on the chess event to kick off this coming March 17, at 9:00 a.m., at the Negros Club 64 headquarters in Capitol Area.

Nacar said this event is in honor of his late father, Teodoro Nacar Sr., who was also a chess aficionado.

He said the tournament is open for all B1 chess player.

Florendo Zamora said the format of the tournament is a Swiss Elimination. The top eight placers will advance to the grand finals.

The four quarter finalists will receive P500 each while the two semi-finalists will receive P1,000 and P2,000 each, and the champion will receive P3,000.
