Banilad overwhelms Barangay Bunao, 106-50

THE Barangay Banilad cagers posted their second victory last Sunday, raising their team standing in bracket C to a 2-2 record in the ongoing elimination round of the 2007 Inter-Barangay Basketball Championship held at the Dumaguete City Multi-Purpose Gym in Barangay Calindagan.

With 56 points advantage, Barangay Banilad overwhelmed Barangay Bunao in the fourth quarterfinal showdown, 106-50.

Banilad's team controlled the momentum of the game in the first quarter until the fourth quarter with impressive moves by key players Jonathan Silva with his 19 points, and teammates Dominador Umbac with 16 points, Brian Dela Cruz with 14 points, and Mark Antony Tablatin with 13 points.

In other games, Barangay Bagacay nipped Barangay Junob, 78-76, and Barangay 2 subdued Barangay 2, 106-82.
