Thursday, September 20, 2007 Barangay Looc to defend crown Thursday
BARANGAY Piapi and Looc, both from this city, will meet in the first game of the ongoing Inter-Barangay Basketball Tournament quarterfinal round at the Dumaguete City Multi-purpose gym at Barangay Calindagan.
Barangay Looc, last year’s champion, will be in hot court again to defend their crown in Thursday’s game against rival, Barangay Piapi.
Barangay Pulantubig will clash with Barangay Talay to secure a spot in the semis, in the second game at 8 p.m.
City Sports Coordinator Jose Quirit said there are eight teams fighting for the quarterfinal round, four of which will struggle for the semi-final round.
