Dumaguete City Police Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said the Provincial Mobile Group and the Provincial Police Office would also extend help.

Policemen will be deployed all over the city upon the order of Provincial Police Director Omar Buenafe.

There will be law enforcers who will secure the safety of the people during the different activities of the fiesta celebration especially the important visitors in the different events that include the Negros Oriental 9-Ball Championship this coming November 14-17.

The police chief advised the public to be vigilant and to report to his office any untoward or suspicious incidents.

The police chief admitted however that despite the help of the Mobile group and the province, only a few policemen would cover a wide area of responsibility.

The police chief is appealing for support from the public to help them in any way lessen the possibility of crime and maintain peace and order.

Fiesta 2007 executive committee convener Councilor Manuel "Chiquiting" Sagarrbaria promised to help the police by closely coordinating with them in security specifications of the event.
