Pre-Buglasan Chess fest festival set today

THE Negros Club 64's Pre-Buglasan Festival Open Lawn Chess Championship kicks off Friday, 1 p.m. at the Negros Club 64 Lawn Chess Park at Capitol Area.

Florendo Zamora of the Negros Club 64 said the showdown is a tune-up game for the coming big event of the Open Buglasan Festival Lawn Chess this coming December 29.

The annual activity draws participant from the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Ilo-ilo, Negros Occidental, Ozamiz City, Dipolog City, Dumaguete City, and Negros Oriental.

The two days mind-skills game gives an opportunity for players to hone their skills as they compete against players from other provinces.

The tournament sponsored by Paul Bana has cash prizes and trophies in store for winners.
