Teacher kills self
By Syril G. Repe

TAYASAN, Negros Oriental -- A 33-year-old housewife and a public school teacher was found dead inside her home in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Tayasan town Saturday last week.

Police Chief Inspector Richard Gadingan, who withheld the name of the victim upon the request of the family, said the husband found her hanging dead when he arrived home at around 11 a.m.

Initial police investigation showed that family problems could be the reason behind the victim's death.

The police also found out that the housewife tried to kill herself three times already but failed until the incident last Saturday.

The family buried the teacher's remains Wednesday afternoon at the public cemetery in Tayasan town.

The victim's relatives are waiting for the post mortem examination of the PNP Crime Laboratory to check of possible foul play.
