Order to disarm cop refusing random drug test out By Victor L. Camion
THE provincial director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Negros Oriental issued order to disarm a police officer who refused to submit himself in a random drug test.
Senior Superintendent Melvin Ramon Buenafe said he has ordered to disarm PO1 Jasper Necesito of the Dumaguete police station.
Post here your Valentine's Day greetings
This after Necesito reportedly refused to submit himself in a random drug test conducted in Dumaguete two weeks ago.
The team led by Police Inspector Canoto Balneg conducted the random drug test when Necesito refused.
Administrative charges were filed against Necesito and forwarded to the regional office.
Buenafe, however, clarified that Necesito is still on duty pending the decision of the higher headquarter to the cognizance of the case.
A relief order against Necesito will follow after the investigation conducted by the regional police office.
Necesito was administratively dismissed from the service due to illegal drugs use while he was assigned with the 705th Provincial Mobile Group.
He, however, was reinstated in 2006 when the administrative case against him was dismissed.
He was later detailed to the Dumaguete Police station.
Buenafe has warned of sanctions on police officers reported to have engaged in illegal drugs activities.
