Kin of OFW killed by Pinoy in Saudi cry for justice

AMLAN, Negros Oriental -- A 35-year-old overseas Filipino worker from Amlan, Negros Oriental earned a living as a driver of a family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He was allegedly killed by a fellow OFW who lives in the same house as he does on Tuesday last week.

Mitchell Joseph Montecino, 35, married, was allegedly beheaded by a fellow Filipino driver identified only as Toronoyda, a resident of Malabon Metro Manila.

Montecino left the country five months ago to earn living for his family. He left behind a wife and three children aging 12, 8, and 6 years old.

Ana Nora, Montecino's wife, said she received a report about what happened to her husband recently.

A fellow driver of her husband, who had worked for 21 years as the family driver of a businessman in Saudi Arabia, killed Montecino.

Ana Nora said her Montecino's killer must have been jealous of her husband.

The suspect was arrested two hours after the incident and is now detained at a jail in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The family of the victim cries for justice. Family members said they want the suspect's head also cut off. They are waiting for the body of Montecino to arrive in his hometown in Amlan. (SGR)
