RESIDENTS from three villages in the town of Pamplona in the province of Negros Oriental availed themselves of Sunday's medical mission and dental mission conducted by local government units and military forces.
The medical mission was initiated by Representative George Arnaiz, (2nd district Negros Oriental), Governor Emilio Macias II, Pamplona local officials, 79th Infantry Battalion, and 303rd brigade of the Philippine Army.
The civic activity was held in connection with the birthday celebration of Arnaiz.
Arnaiz said he doubled his effort to hold yearly activities in the barangays so the poor families could be provided health services.
Arnaiz added that not only the three barangays benefited from the activities but other neighboring villages in Tanjay City and Sta. Catalina as well.
The Army soldiers offered free medical check-up, dental services, circumcision, haircut, and massage to residents of Fatima, Calatagan and Inawasan, all of Pamplona, Negros Oriental.
According to 2nd Lieutenant Anamy Nero, civil military operations officer of the 79th Masaligan Infantry Battalion, her group together with the Bravo Company headed by 2nd Lieutenant Anacito Naz, 303rd Brigade, and 61st IB participated in the medical mission.
