Bayawan City ends sports and tourism month

BAYAWAN City ended up its month long sports and tourism celebration Saturday evening with the modern dance contest at the boulevard area.

City Councilor Mark Aurelia, chairman of the committee on sports and tourism, said one of the highlights of the month-long celebration was the chess tournament open to players from other places. The tournament was also seen as a way of as promoting the city to the local and national tourist.

Aurelia said the different sports activities are one of the ways in promoting the tourism industry in the city.

The city's mission is to develop a self-reliant community of God-loving and law abiding Bayawanons living in peace, prosperity and security and in harmony with nature.
