A-15-YEAR student of Saint Louis School Don Dosco, Danielle Marie Amigo Teves, bested other 12 semifinalists after she was crowned Miss Teen Philippine International 2008 Negros Oriental search last Sunday evening at the Silliman Portal West in Dumaguete City.
The first runner-up was 14-year-old Isabelle Elise Ugarte Teves from Royal Oaks International School in Dumaguete. She got the best speaker, Miss Norkis Yamaha and Miss HBC awards.
The second runner-up, Jessica France Makasiar Delos Santos, a 17-year-old BS Nursing student of Silliman University, got the Miss Bizhub.com award.
Other winners of the minor awards were Hamsirajane Kim Ong Hamsirami, 15 years old from Bayawan City as Best in casual wear and darling of the press; Tina Jumawan Taube of Dumaguete City received Miss Aldea award, Saraya Kimberly At-At Gamo of Silliman University got Miss Aloe and Miss Friendship awards, and Rea Ann Banquero Orillano of Sibulan Negros Oriental won the Miss Photogenic award.
Non-winners received a gift certificate from the sponsored companies.
The top three winners will represent the province for Miss Teen Philippines International slated this year in Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao.
The searched focused on the economic, tourism and environmental issues.
