Family-centered Christmas in Valencia town

THE Municipal Government of Valencia is celebrating a family-centered Christmas this year, a town official said.

Des Tilos Jr., information officer of Valencia, told Sun.Star that the town's Christmas activities will be highlighted by a Family Day on the evening of December 28 at the Valencia Plaza, a gathering of the families from all 24 villages in Valencia.

Tilos said the Family Day is a pet project of Mayor Rodolfo Gonzalez Jr.

Since its conception, the Family Day has become an annual activity, which aims to strengthen family bonding during the Yuletide season.

For this year, Tilos said the town has lined up several activities to mark the town's Christmas celebration.

The judging for the best household decoration contest will be on December 16.

There will also be games, dancing and concerts, as well as chorale competitions to be participated in by each barangay of Valencia.

The Municipal Government's Employees' Night will be held on December 19.

Tilos said all households are encouraged to bring food and hold a picnic at the Valencia Municipal Gym during the Family Day. (VLC)
