Brgy capts now looking for bet to fight Acharon

DESPITE the highly-politicized election for the Association of Barangay
Captains here, barangay chairmen here are now assessing whom to endorse as challenger of incumbent ABC chair Jacinto Acharon.

Dadiangas Heights Barangay Captain Eduardo Castanieda, in an interview, said they have to support whoever has the qualification for an ABC president regardless of his political affiliation.

Castanieda said many of his colleagues are discontented to the performance of Acharon in the past few years as ABC president.

Castanieda said Acharon, for one, failed to fight for their 13-month pay, which was scrapped last December.

He said a number of the ABC's approved resolution were not heard at the session hall.

The village chiefs, he said, are looking for a more committed barangay captain to contest Acharon in the upcoming October election for ABC president. (Merlyn F. Velarde)
