NDDC Batch '77 holds free clinic

ALUMNI of Notre Dame schools in General Santos successfully conducted a one-day free clinic in Barangay Olympog on Sunday.

Sponsored by Bath 1977, the outreach program is part of the silver jubilee celebrations of high school graduates from Notre Dame of Dadiangas College (NDDC), Notre Dame of Lagao (NDL) and Notre Dame of Dadiangas for Girls (NDDFG).

More than 500 patients were given free medical consultation and medicines.
Bro. Willie Lubrico, NDDC president, said this year's activity is the most organized ever conducted by alumni of Notre Dame schools in the city.

Batch 1977 alumni include Councilor Franklin Gacal Jr., president of NDDC High School for Boys Batch '77 Alumni Association president and businessman George Phillip Palileo, president of NDL High School Batch '77 Alumni Association.

Batch 1977 will also host the Grand Alumni Homecoming of Notre Dame of Dadiangas College on December 22, NDDC's Golden (50th) Anniversary.

The golden anniversary celebration of NDDC will culminate with a grand reunion in June next year.

Alumni who are now residing in the US and other parts of the world are set to hold their bi-annual reunions in the city next year.

Meanwhile, Dr. Emmanuel Leyva and Dr. Teresita Ferrariz, both members of Batch 1977, thanked all those who supported the outreach program of the group.

Among those they cited were Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr., the Antonino Foundation, the Taonao Foundation, businessman Manny Yaphuckon and several others who donated several boxes of medicines worth over P250,000.

Sun.Star executive editor Edwin Espejo is also a member of the class and is the vice president of NDL HS Batch '77 Alumni Association.
