Pregnant wife raped, hacked

A FOUR-MONTH pregnant woman was reportedly raped and hacked by a still unidentified suspect Monday afternoon.

Layla (not her real name) said her attacker sexually molested her while she was gathering freshwater crabs in a creek in Espina Farm, Barangay Labangal.

The victim sustained hacked wounds on here left hand and shoulder. The suspect reportedly fled the area after Layla was able to shout for help.

She was immediately brought by her brother Frederick to a hospital where she is now recuperating from her wounds.

Her father believed the suspect is just a resident in the area.

He urged the police to immediately arrest the suspect who could still attack other victims. Layla told reporters she would be able to identify the suspect if she sees him again.

She added that the suspect pointed a butcher's knife at her and threatened to kill her.

She was however able to shout and called the attention of her brother. EGE
