New vehicle, beds for city hospital
TO IMPROVE medical service, a brand new Toyota pick-up truck was recently handed over to Dr. Benjamin Pagarigan, General Santos City District Hospital head.
Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr. said the new vehicle, costing over P780,000, would enable Dr. Pagarigan to perform his duties as head of the City's only public hospital.
He said Pagarigan's mobility has been hampered by lack of vehicle. "There are times we need him but he could not come because he had no vehicle," he explained.
He clarified that the truck would be for hospital use and not for personal service.
Six hospital beds and several garbage receptacles have also been donated to the hospital. "A hospital in Cebu City upgraded their equipment and they donated some of their facilities to us," Acharon said.
