Indiscriminate firing

A RETIRED Army sergeant reported to police Monday that three unidentified persons, one reportedly armed, allegedly fired a gun last Sunday dawn at Doņa Soledad Subdivision in Labangal.

A certain ex-army man called Quintana allegedly told police that the perpetrators fled after the incident aboard a yellow Honda XRM type motorcycle without plate number.

The suspects reportedly came from inside the perimeter of Phase 6 of the said subdivision.

Drunken man detained

A housewife sought police assistance Monday evening after a drunken man allegedly harassed them by destroying their bamboo fence.

A few minutes later, responding policemen brought Marthy Bayona, resident of Purok Malok, Labangal and placed him inside the lock up cell.

However, Bayona was released after he recovered from his drunken stupor.

Minor robs store

Businessman Ronald Delsol complained to police Monday that a 12-year old boy robbed them of P6,000 cash and a necklace worth P2,000.

Delsol told police that "Jay" (not his real name) entered their store located at Purok 2, New Society, Apopong, around 10 a.m. Monday and carted away the money and the necklace, which were placed on the table inside their store.

Police, however, said Delsol was able to recover the stolen money and necklace from the suspect Monday afternoon and decided not to press formal complaints against the minor.

Security guard in hot water

A security guard was reported to police for indiscriminately firing his gun in front of a certain Juni Dargules Sunday evening at Purok Magsaysay, Labangal.

Hours later, responding Makar police brought and detained security guard Toto Corpuz in the police station.

Corpuz was, however, released from police custody Monday morning after reaching an amicable settlement with the complainant.
