Gulle: A hopeless case? By Inocentes A. Gulle Your Business is our Business
EVERYTHING man has tried in order to achieve peace, harmony, prosperity and happiness for all people in this world, has not produced anything positive. Peace treaties, alliances, power blocs, and finally the United Nations, none has brought the world any nearer to the dreamed Utopia. All have come to naught.
The unprecedented advances in science and technology, new discoveries in the field of medicine, agriculture, computers, electronics, aerospace and others, have not improved the condition of abject poverty of majority of the world population now living in squalor and destitution.
It's plain enough, we do not know the way of peace. Individuals, cartels, big business, and even nations simply do not know how to stop grabbing for more and more and more. Never mind if some get mauled, trampled, or ran--over in the process. It's a hopeless struggle.
Any simple-thinking observer of world affairs can not fail to see the ever-worsening condition of this world and its eminent headlong plunge into perdition. In any case, wise men of old have seen this already and have written them in advance in that Coded Book that this world (age) will end in death and destruction such as not seen nor ever will be seen again...that if no supernatural power would intervene, no soul (person) would remain alive.
The signs they have mentioned are now visible. World events are fast developing, all pointing to just that. If only for academic purposes, start watching the events in the world politics, economy and military. Watch more particularly the following developments:
* Iran is fast immerging as the religious-political leader in a (Theocratic) Muslim Middle Eastern countries. Observers see it fast developing into a military (nuclear) power and would in time call the shots in the oil cartel, a tremendous clout in world diplomacy.
* The United States and Great Britain are starting to lose their preeminence in world affairs even as other military powers are no longer cowed by their military might. More than half of the nations of the world hate the United States, especially the Arab World, which wants nothing less than their total destruction.
* The European Union is feverishly working for ratification by the member nations of a common constitution, a central military and a common currency, leading to a United States of Europe, under the leadership of Germany and with the blessings of and de facto alliance with, the Papacy. The Euro is fast replacing the Dollar in the world finance.
Any dimwit can see that as it is, there is practically no place in the world that can really be considered peaceful and safe, free from terrorism and such. What we are seeing right in our own backyard in terms of unending political chaos, intrigue, widespread criminality, hate, terrorism and corruption, are nothing but types of what are happening or soon to explode in our faces.
As the power struggle intensifies among those nations mentioned, war would inevitably erupt, as a matter of course. Then that would be it. Heaven, have mercy on the poor soul who has not found the way to salvation.
I am sure a lot of people will laugh or scoff at this proposition. So be it. "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."
But all these troubles and catastrophes will only usher in a better (new) world order, under the government of the King of kings and Lord of lords, where peace, prosperity, happiness and general well being will prevail for a thousand years and after that the inheritance God has promised. "No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him."
