Cebu, Davao ICT firms tap Soccsksargen call centers By Leonard V. Flores
AS A result of Job Fiesta Soccsksargen held recently in General Santos City, 21 new call center agents from the region would join Convergys for the latter's Cebu City operation.
The examinations were done in Netopia Internet Café while the final interview was completed in East Asia Royale Hotel last week.
A total of 140 pre-screened applicants participated in the selection process last November 16-19.
"I am so happy and proud for having hired call center agents in the region. I take this as an opportunity to prove that there are indeed competent manpower in this part of Mindanao," said Convergys customer care representative Lemuel Medina.
In a related development, G-Com Ltd. Inc., a Davao City-based call center, also conducted its pre-qualifying and manpower pooling on November 18-20 at KCC Mall, also in General Santos City.
"We are optimistic General Santos City would emerge as a major ICT human resource provider other than Davao City," said G-Com general manager Raymond Gacho.
