1st Jollibee Fun Run set for September 2

FOOD chain giant Jollibee last week announced it will host, together with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, a 3K and 5K fun run on September 2 as part of this year's tuna festival celebration.

The 3K fun run is open to parent-child tandem while the %K category is open to both male and female runners above 12 years old.

Meziel Joy Pilar of Jollibee Highway said cash prizes as well as certificates awaits the winners and finishers of the fun run competition.

In the parent-child category, children running with their father or mother must be four to 12 years old.

Pilar said race marshals from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will be stationed along the route of each category to guide and help runners.

Race will start at 5:30 a.m. but participants are required to join the pre-race activitie4s at 4:30 a.m. at the Freedom Park (Carlos P. Garcia), which will also serve as the starting-finish lines.

Interested parties may register in any branches of Jollibee in the city.

A registration fee of P75 will be collected from participants, which will entitle them to free meal stub from Jollibee, runner's number and certificate.
