S. Cotabato Taekwondo jins to enjoy new equipment

TAEKWONDO jins from the two gyms in South Cotabato will enjoy new fighting mats and gears which were donated as part of the special project of the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA)-Socsksargen/South Cotabato Chapters and Sagittarius Mines Inc.

Koronadal National Comprehensive High School and Surallah Central Taekwondo gyms received the new mats and gears during a turnover ceremony held on 18 August at KNCHS and Surallah Central Taekwondo Gym, respectively.

Philippine Taekwondo Ambassador Monsour del Rosario, PTA Secretary General Elmer Pato, SMI Over-all Project Coordinator Rolando Doria and PTA Socsksargen/South Cotabato chapter representatives led the handing over of the new mats and gears to KNCHS Taekwondo Instructor Rene Llanto and Surallah Central Taekwondo Gym Instructor Danny Cosico.

Present to personally witness the said turnover ceremony in KNCHS were the school's principal Hernani Llumen and sports coordinator Siason.

South Cotabato Governor Bebot Ogena and representatives from the local government unit of Surallah witnessed the turnover ceremony at the Surallah Central Taekwondo Gym.

Vice Governor Ogena was thankful for the new taekwondo equipment donated by SMI.

"Having all this expensive taekwondo equipment was just a dream. I'm very grateful for the efforts of the local chapters of the PTA, to the local government unit of Surallah, and to SMI for their continuing support to the local taekwondo talents," said Ogena. (Press release)
