Philbest now ISO certified
PHILBEST Canning Corporation is now on its best position to capture a bigger world market for canned tuna and other related products after it acquired the ISO 9001:2000 Certification last July.
The management System of Philbest Canning Corporation has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 for design, development, and production of canned tuna in oil, canned tuna in brine, canned tuna in brine with broth, pouched tuna, and frozen cooked tuna loins for export market.
The certificate is valid from July 2006 until July 2009. The certification certificate PH06/0092 was issued by SGS United Kingdom Ltd. Systems & Services Certification.
RD Manufacturing Group President Ritche Rivera said, "this is a milestone for PhilBest Canning Corporation."
"Such certification has added premium to our name; a world-class company indeed. With good management and proper systems in-place, PhilBest is now a force to reckon with in the industry, domestic and international," Rivera added.
