Manny to match Hitmakers, Sandara note for note
ASK any entertainment bigwigs who are our most dynamic concert performers today and the names Rico Puno, Marco Sison, Rey Valera and Sandara Park will always come to mind.
No field is left unconquered for these dynamic artists.
They have reached their own pinnacle of success at every level.
They are the epitome of what dedication, creativity, intelligence and pure talent when in comes to concert performance and music entertainment.
Add Gensan's very own Manny Pacquaio and sexy bombshell Ara Mina and you do not only have a fabulous entertainment threat.
A wacky riot is bound to explode
The Hitmakers
Rico Puno, Marco Sison and Rey Valera need no introduction. They captured the imagination of the general public during the golden era of original Filipino music in the 80s.
Who can forget Marco Sison's hit songs "My Love will See You Through", "Make Believe"; Rico Puno's "Memories", "Kapalaran" "Macho Guapito" and Rey Valera's " Sinasamba Kita", "Kung Kailangan Mo Ako" and "Ako Si Superman" and for his compositions as "Mr. DJ", "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko," among others.
Their songs were part of the hits that would coin the phrase, OPM.
Their music have remained timeless and throughout the years with countless remakes and revival.
Their popularity in the 80's grew to tremendous proportions when they embarked on a series of campus concert tours, holding shows in the capital's foremost colleges and universities, highlighted by solo concerts at the prestigious Folk Arts Theater.
Their exposure to screaming girls would ultimately lead to the now famous title "Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala." Talent and charm are a deadly combination.
Now, twenty-five years and more than a dozen albums/CDs later and after extensive concert tours around the world, they are still actively performing to sold-out shows in classiest hotels and venues all over the country and abroad.
Sandara's Charm
Sandara started her career as a shy contestant of a famous ABS-CBN's reality TV show Star Circle Teen Quest. When interviewed during the audition for her reason for joining, she answered, "I want to be a star. At first I didn't expect that I'll pass the audition but I did. So now I'm very nervous." The rest was history. Her wish did come true. She captured the heart of the TV audience with her innocent charm and sincerity that has made her the top bet to win the contest. Oh yes, who can forget her famous broken Tagalog line "Mahal ko kayong lahat...?"
Soon after that, her rise to stardom has become meteoric. She was deluged with recording and countless TV credits and product endorsements. Her TV credits include SCQ Reload, ASAP Fanatic, Sandara's Romance, among others. Her music album entitled, Sandara has received Platinum Award. Sandara awed the industry with her unmistakable singing and acting abilities. She has come a long way from a shy TV contestant to an emerging teen star.
