Superintendent Joel Limson, Tacurong City police chief, said they already have several leads on the identity of the suspects based on accounts of several witnesses.

"We are validating some vital information and we're hoping that these will lead to arrests," he said.

On Thursday, Limson said they completed the cartographic sketches of the three suspects who placed the bomb in front of a store inside the public market around noon last Tuesday.

The sketches, drawn by a cartographer of the Army's 604th Infantry Brigade, were based on accounts of the witnesses.

The first male suspect was described as a thin-built man aged between 28 to 30 years old, stands around five feet and three inches and weighs at least 47 kilos.

The other male suspect is also thin in built, aged 18 to 20 years old, stands around five feet and six inches and weighs at least 52 kilos.

The female suspect was reportedly aged between 40 to 45 years old, standing five feet and an inch tall, weighing 45 to 28 kilos, has white spots on her cheeks and a black mark on the right side of her forehead.

A homemade bomb exploded at about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in front of a comfort room of the public market, less than 10 minutes after it was isolated there by a market security guard.

The explosive was fashioned from 81-mm mortar shells and improvised with battery power and cellular phone-controlled timing devices.

Police and military authorities immediately tagged the explosions to groups allegedly allied with Indonesian terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah. (Allen V. Estabillo)
