Abusama M. Alid, Department of Agriculture (DA) regional director, said the facility would allow farmers to trade their crops on a retail or wholesale basis.
The "Barangay Bagsakan" is a project of the DA under the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program of the government.
Earlier, the DA regional office established bagsakan centers in the towns of Esperanza in Sultan Kudarat and M'lang in North Cotabato.
Baidido T. Samama, chief of the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service of the regional agriculture office, said they target to put up at least 30 barangay bagsakan centers across the region. (BSS)
