ELEMENTS of the Regional Anti-Narcotics Office (Rano 12) have filed charges against three suspected drug pushers whom they arrested in a buy-bust operation over the weekend.
Bonnie Anao, Ibrahim Solaiman and Samad Laba are now facing charges for illegal possession of prohibited drugs.
The three were nabbed in Purok Islam, Barangay Dadiangas South while in the act of selling several sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to RANO 12 agents who posed as buyers.
Insp. Douglas Farola, RANO 12 deputy director, said the suspects were placed under surveillance prior to their arrest.
According to Farola, Laba is reportedly a notorious drug pusher in the area.
Meanwhile, Farola said the anti-narcotics group has even intensified its campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
They recently held seminars in Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat to raise the awareness of residents on the effects of drug abuse among drug users."This is our concentration right now. We are giving priority to information dissemination," Farola added.
